Whale and Dolphin Watching at the Jersey Shore
It was a beautiful weekend at the Jersey Shore and a great weekend to head out on the waters. My Wife and I decided to go "whale & dolphin" watching. My Son Zach gave me a trip to Cape May for my birthday to go "whale & dolphin" watching so we decided to go! We never went on this type of trip, but it was relaxing, fun and produced great sights!
A nice ship, great crew, and fantastic weather made it fun just to be out on the water. We saw lots of sights, including birds and dolphins. The only thing we did not encounter was "Mr. Whale", but it was a fun day.
We sailed by the U.S. Coast Guard Station, Cape May Lighthouse, and the WWII historical sights. The highlight, of course, is seeing the dolphins, everyone loves dolphins. They are beautiful animals and a fantastic marine marvel, one of my favorite animals!
If you do go whale/dolphin watching be sure to bring sunscreen and a hat, because it's a lot of sun on the water! It was a fun day trip here at the Jersey Shore. Oh, and BTW, yes, we finished the day off with some chocolate covered salt water taffy!
