An Ocean Township man who allegedly flashed a handgun in an attempted robbery is rung up on charges shortly thereafter.

The victim told police he was in the Twinbrook Apartment Complex when he encountered the man later identified as 29-year old Lawrence Moton.

He then ran to the Blue Swan Diner to report the incident around 4:34 am on June 30.

An investigation identified Moton as the accused suspect and he was charged with Robbery, Possession of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Aggravated Assault, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Moton was processed and then transported to the county jail where he awaits his initial court appearance.
