New Jersey is the smartest state in America. That's right, a new survey shows the Garden State as the most intelligent state.

9. Oregon
10. Minnesota

Idaho finished last in the survey.

The state rankings were done by analyzing a few different categories in each state, including bachelor’s degrees, professional degrees, and college prep test scores.

Here are the findings in New Jersey:

• Adults 25+ with bachelor’s degrees: 24.2%, No. 2 in U.S.
• Adults 25+ with graduate/professional degrees: 15.6%, No. 8 in U.S.
• Public high school graduation rate (2016-17): 91%, No. 1 in U.S.
• Median SAT score (2018-19): 1,090, No. 28 in U.S.
• Average composite ACT score (2017-18): 23.7, No. 13 in U.S.
