The hatchet throwing phenomenon makes a lot of sense when you think about it. There's something really satisfying about picking up an axe and letting it loose at a wooden target.

If you think that's satisfying, a new Toms River business is looking to one-up hatchet throwing by letting you get your pent up stress out on dishes, old TVs, and more.

We actually told you about Smashin' City Rage Room back in February, telling you about their lineup of weapons (you can pick everything from a golf club to a sledgehammer) and how much it'll cost you to break some stuff (packages start at $40 and go up to $100).

The official grand opening had been set for April and, well, you know what happened in the intervening time (thank a lot, COVID).

But this week, Toms River dignitaries stopped by the Route 37 business and helped Smashin' City Rage Room cut the ribbon to finally celebrate their grand opening.

You'd think that after what we've all been through in the months since the business was first teased at the beginning of 2020, their business should be smashing success (pun intended).

I know that I've got some pent up tension that I wouldn't mind taking out on an old computer monitor of grandma's old fine china.

You can get much more info about Smashin' City Rage Room on Route 37 in Toms River, including pricing and packages, by clicking here for their official website.

If you want to see what the destruction is all about, they also post regular updates to their official Facebook page, which you can get to by clicking here.
