Four Burlington County, New Jersey men indicted for their roles in Murder of 17-year old
Four men from Burlington County have been indicted on charges related to the murder of a 17-year old and wounding of the teen's father outside of the Walmart on Route 541 in Burlington Township last October, announced Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina on Thursday.
Burlington Township Police responded to the shooting on October 7, 2021, around 10:15 pm, and once on scene, found Dion E. Williams Sr., 44, and his son Albert, 17, of Hammonton, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
Dion and Albert were brought to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where Albert, who was struck in the chest, passed away.
Dion was treated and later released from care.
Police learned that Dion and Albert had planned to meet at the Walmart parking lot with Tarik Jenkins, 25, of Pemberton Township, Jayviyohn J. Earley, 19, Kweli L. McCants, 20, and Kayhree Simmons, 19, all of Willingboro, but then things got heated, an argument ensued and, then gunfire.

Earley, Simmons, and, Jenkins were all indicted by a grand jury for Murder (First Degree), Unlawful Possession of a Weapon (Second Degree), and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose (Second Degree).
All four men were indicted on the charge of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery (Second Degree).
Earley was indicted for Possession of a Firearm While Committing Certain Drug Crimes (Second Degree) and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute (Third Degree).
Jenkins was also indicted for Aggravated Assault (Second Degree), and McCants was also indicted for Hindering Apprehension (Third Degree), two counts of Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Third Degree), and Prohibited Weapons and Devices (Fourth Degree).
Simmons was additionally indicted for Hindering Apprehension (Third Degree), and Obstructing Administration of Law (Fourth Degree).
