Missing Toms River man found dead in Brick Walmart parking lot

Brick Police are investigating the death of a Toms River man found unconscious in the Walmart parking lot on Monday night around 6:45 pm.

Police were on patrol in the Walmart parking lot when they were alerted to a report of an unconscious, unresponsive male subject who was seated in a parked vehicle.

The man was later identified as Craig Turner, 43 years old of Toms River and was not breathing and didn't have a pulse.

Officers immediately began lifesaving measures and were assisted by EMS.

Despite the First Responders’ best efforts, they were unable to revive him.

Police say that Turner had recently been reported missing out of Toms River.

Ocean County Sheriff’s Office and the County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to assist at the scene.

The cause of death is still under investigation but police said nothing on the scene indicates foul play was involved at this time.
