Summer at the Jersey Shore is getting closer, and one of the surest signs is finally here, Toms River Township beach badges for Ortley Beach are officially on sale starting April 20, 2026.

If Ortley Beach is part of your summer tradition, now is the perfect time to grab your badge early and save a little money before the regular season rate begins.
When Toms River Township Beach Badges Go On Sale
The pre-season rate is $50 if purchased by June 14th, 2026. Beginning June 15th, the regular seasonal badge price goes up to $65, so buying this month is definitely the best deal.
For local seniors, lifetime senior badges are available for $15, and Toms River Township is also once again offering free seasonal badges for veterans, their spouses, and children under 17 with a valid Veteran ID presented at the time of purchase.
Where To Buy Your 2026 Beach Badge
One thing locals always appreciate is how many ways there are to buy badges. You can pick them up through the Toms River Recreation Department, the Tax Collector’s Office through May 22nd, the Toms River Senior Center, or right at the beach on weekends starting May 23rd through June 14th, then daily through Labor Day.
The badges are valid for both Ortley Beach and Shelter Cove Beach, making it even easier for families to enjoy summer along our stretch of the shore.
And of course, one of the best parts for families with little ones: kids 12 and under are free and do not need a badge.
