Why Is a New Jersey Housewife Suddenly Renting Out her Beloved Montclair, NJ Store?
First, her Toms River home was mysteriously taken off the market, and now, her beloved boutique is listed for rent.
Anyone who watches The Real Housewives of New Jersey knows that cast member Melissa Gorga is passionate about her boutique Envy by Melissa Gorga. It's been a part of her storyline for years on the show. It was shocking to see the Montclair, NJ boutique listed for rent on Weichert's website.
Why would Melissa Gorga rent out her store Envy by Melissa Gorga?
That's a hard question to answer, honestly. But - we do know she's no stranger to the real estate market since I recently noticed she pulled her Toms River home's listing off of Realtor after doing some impressive renovations.
This is the impressive backyard in her Toms River home.
The pandemic has made the economy tough for everyone.
Maybe her family could only afford one extra piece of real estate right now, and they had to decide between the Toms River home and Melissa's boutique. Or, it's possible that sales just weren't up because of the pandemic, and Melissa had to make the difficult decision to shut doors down.
This of course is all just speculation, but hopefully, we'll get some answers when The Real Housewives of New Jersey premiers on February 1st.
This sadly isn't the first time The Gorgas had to make a difficult decision about a business. Melissa, her husband Joe, and her sister-in-law owned a pizzeria called Gorga's Homemade Pasta & Pizza in East Hanover, NJ which was also featured on the show but closed down in 2018.
The shop's website is still active, so maybe she's closing her brick-and-mortar shop to focus on online sales only. Housewives fans know how much Melissa put her heart and soul into her boutique, so hopefully, this isn't a "goodbye," it's a "see you later."
