What Happened to a New Jersey Housewife’s Stunning Toms River, NJ Home that Was For Sale?

What the heck is going on with this reality TV star's epic home that was for sale?

Remember when I told you that Real Housewife of New Jersey Melissa Gorga was putting her newly renovated, stunning, Toms River home up for beach home sale?

I decided to check on the Realtor.com listing since things about the house have been rather quiet lately.  I didn't find anything there, but I see something interesting on the Zillow listing...

But before I tell you that, I did want to remind you that this impressive house has 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and was completely re-renovated since the Gorgas moved in.  It was even featured on The Real Housewives of New Jersey last season (and rumor has it, this season too).

Anyway, when I took another look at the listing on Zillow this time, I noticed that the history of the listing was kind of weird.  Zillow showed it was sold in 2019 (probably to the Gorgas) for $975,000.  Then, it was put back up on the market in September 2021 (when I told you about it) for $2.9 million.  A week later, the price dropped to $2.45 million, and by September 29th, the listing was removed.  What!?

I know what you're thinking "the listing was removed, Diana. That means it was sold, right?"  But actually, that's not right.  According to Quora, "listing was removed" on Zillow means that the owner took their home off the market.

If that's the case, why would Melissa Gorga take this gorgeous home off the market? It's in a great location, the renovations make it like-new - what happened?

Now I'm no realtor, but I do watch a hell of a lot of Selling Sunset and Million Dollar Listing, and right away I think this home was priced way too high.  The Realtor listing even says it's 756.83% more expensive than nearby properties.  Excuse me!?

Let's say the price wasn't the reason the Gorgas decided to remove the listing.  I'd say that they could be renting it out to someone (maybe someone super famous), or they decided to keep the home for their family to enjoy for years to come.
