Police in Manchester confiscated a sizable amount of heroin when they made a traffic stop on Route 37 right near the station on Colonial Drive.

Two Ocean County residents were charged with multiple narcotic related charges after being stopped by the Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) who had observed their vehicle initially in the area of Route 547 and 571.

A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of drug paraphernalia and 200 bags of heroin worth a street value of $900.00.00.

The Passenger, 27-year old Amanda Robinson of Beachwood was arrested and found with the drugs after being booked at police headquarters.

Robinson is charged with one count each of Possession and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Loitering to Distribute CDS.

The driver, 40-year old Jahad Evans of Brick is charged with Conspiracy to Possess Heroin.

Robinson was released on a summons and a complaint warrant was issued for Evans who was not arrested.
