Tomorrow is National Cashew Day!  Here are some fun facts about the nutritious nut.Cashews have that sweet and salty taste great in stir-fries or right out of the can or bag.

Cashews are jam packed with essential vitamins and minerals.  They're packed with iron and magnesium and roasting cashews only enhance the vitamins and minerals and make it even healthier to eat.

Surprisingly enough, cashew plants are in the same family as poison ivy and poison sumac and only in the shell part...that's why there's never a shell over this nut.  The manufacturers roast them at a high temperature so it destroys all the chemicals that could be harmful.

The cashew oil is used topically for an anti-fungal cream and how about this..it's also used for healing cracked heels.
