NY Jets kicker Nick Folk was on hand along with NJ Agriculture Secretary Douglas Fisher and other area dignitaries as the $15,000 check was presented at the school on Tuesday.  Administrators plan to use the grant to purchase fresh fruit and vegetable kiosks and fitness equipment.

Folk says the students really seemed to appreciate the honor.

"Every school we go to is fun and they all enjoy it," said Folk.  "But I think it felt, you know, especially meaningful to Lakewood."

The Piners are the first Ocean County school to win the program's grand prize, and Secretary Fisher says they deserve it.

"Students sign up, do their exercise disciplines for a certain amount of time each day, and track their food selection," Fisher said."

Six students will also attend this weekend's Jets game against the New England Patriots, where the school will be honored with another presentation.
