‘tis the season – kinda!

It may still be November, but one Ocean County student is getting Christmas and the holiday season started early with a campaign that is aimed at spreading joy and cheer to children and their families this holiday season.

Lacey Township High School Senior, Theodore Vidal started a community involved campaign that starts today, November 5th and runs until December 15th. “12 Days of Lacey” is a campaign where people from the community can donate different supplies and at the end of the campaign, Theodore will distribute all of the gifts to children and their families throughout Lacey Township.

So how do you get involved?

Starting today, you will be able to drop off specific gifts and supplies at the Lacey Township Recreation Building.

What should you donate?

Theodore has created a list of supplies that he needs, and he is asking residents of Lacey to bring specific items on specific days.

Monday:

Making  Crafts. Ornament kits and Christmas crafts.

Tuesday:

Hats. Beanies, Christmas hats, and winter hats.

Wednesday:

Window stickers. Christmas window stickers.

Thursday:

Christmas coloring books.

Friday:

Christmas socks.

Saturday:

Christmas stickers.

Sunday:

Coloring utensils. 12/16/24 pack of crayons, coloring pencils, markers, etc.

Theodore tells me that he came up with this idea of spreading holiday joy and cheer on his own. He created a Facebook page, Instagram page and is using #12DaysOfLacey on social media.

From what I have gathered from my brief conversation with Theodore, I can tell that is very passionate about this project and wants it to be highly successful.

Check out the video that he posted on social media about the campaign:
