Justin Bieber Gives Shore Student $100,000 For Mental Health Work
Julie Coker of Union Beach is a Stockton University student and a member of Active Minds, a nonprofit that supports mental health awareness and education.
Last week, Julie was told that something cool would be happening to her on MTV, but she had no idea that it would involve superstar Justin Bieber presenting her with a $100,000 check.
According to a Stockton press release, Julie said that, "...they just told me to be there and it would change my life".
The release says that Bieber and his team wanted to help someone who was involved in mental health advocacy, which ultimately lead them to Julie and her work with the Stockton chapter of Active Minds.
