An Open Letter To People Who Set Their Stuff Up on Top of Others at Jersey Shore Beaches
We're (thankfully) almost a month away from Memorial Day Weekend, and with beaches getting ready to open for the season, this is a message that NEEDS to be said.
Dear Beach Crowder -
Happy almost Summer! I know you're just as excited to get back out on our gorgeous Jersey Shore beaches as I am, but please keep this in mind. When you and your family are setting down your towels and umbrella, please don't put them on top of mine.
I don't mean to be rude, I'm actually a people person! But I come to the beach to unwind and relax like I'm sure you do! And nothing stresses me out more than when someone is sitting way too close to me when there is plenty more gorgeous white sandy beach to be sat on.
I mean this with the utmost love and respect, beach crowder, but Jersey summers are humid enough - I don't want to be feeling your body heat on top of it. And do I need to mention that we're still in a pandemic (although I don't like this during normal times either).
So, the next time you come to the beach, please keep this in mind. Feel free to strike up a conversation with me from your properly distanced beach setup! But, if I can smell the delicious deli sub or Wawa hoagie you brought for lunch while you're eating it, you're sitting just a tad too close.
With all my love, and hopes for an AMAZING Summer!
