Is New Jersey’s Favorite Coffee Drink Really THAT Boring?

Coffee makes the world go round, wouldn't you say? Even if your caffeine drink of choice isn't a strong cup of Joe (not Kelly), you'd be hard pressed to find someone in the Garden State who doesn't enjoy at least some kind of coffee drink.

It's impossible to speak for everyone, but if you're someone who doesn't need at least one cup of coffee during the day, then you are, truly, a unicorn. Most people will admit that they can't even have a productive conversation until they've been caffeinated. Of course, not everybody can be placed in that box. To those of you who can't, all of us, the coffee-obsessed, salute you. However, for those of us who are reaching for the coffee pot less than 10 minutes after getting out of bed, it's just a part of our lives that we've come to terms with at this point.

Here in the Garden State, it seems we really don't discriminate. We love them all! Still, there is one drink that most of us avid coffee drinkers prefer over every other.

New Jersey's most popular coffee drink

Although the most popular coffee drink in the United States makes sense, I cannot fathom how New Jersey's differs. While the United States as a whole loves a delicious espresso, New Jersey's favorite coffee is blended down a bit. I am utterly SHOCKED.

So, what is New Jersey's favorite?

- A cappuccino.

Really? A cappuccino? If I were to bet on it, I would have wagered that either the cold brew or Americano would have taken the top spot. To be honest, I would have thought New Jersey would have cut out the middle-man (in the form of all the other ingredients) and went straight to the caffeine source. That's what it's all about, right?
