It's Adopt A Shelter Pet Month.  Oh how much I love my dogs.

I remember my first I adopted, T.  I remember going to the SPCA in Atlantic City and I was so nervous.  I knew I wanted to adopt a dog, but I just didn't know what I was looking for.  I looked up and down the isles there and just kept hearing all the dogs barking..take me home.  I came upon this dog just laying there with the biggest brown eyes.  She wasn't that cute, she wasn't hairy, just a dog that needed love.  She found me.  It's so true what I always heard...she found me!  She's a good old girl at the young age of 13.  The best dog ever!

Then just last year a couple days before the big storm hit...my daughter and I adopted our own little storm for our home.  Her name is Taffy.  You met her already in my blogs.  I adopted her from the Monmouth County SPCA.  I just knew she'd be perfect for our family and a little fluffy one for my daughter to handle, dress and walk.  She's a crazy little one that brings smiles to our faces and one of her ears stays up all the time.  Taffy's still a puppy and finally turning into a great dog full of life and love and she's enjoying her older sister T.

Bottom line adopting my dogs were the best thing I ever did.  They wait for us to get home with their tails wagging.  They make my heart smile and they were both shelter dogs.

If you have room in your heart and home..please adopt a shelter pet!  Your life will never be the same.  It will be better!
