I think it's pretty safe to say that nobody likes to do their taxes. And we're at that time of year once again.

On my way in to work this morning, I saw a tax office mascot standing out on Route 9 in Beachwood trying to drum up some excitement for one of the least exciting things that Americans have to do - file their taxes.

To give them credit, the tax preparing companies have gotten good at finding creative ways to bring customers in the door.

As I've gotten older, become a homeowner, and started doing freelance work as well, my taxes have gotten more complicated. I used to be able to pull out my W-2, fill in a few spaces on the free tax preparation programs, and that was that. But these days I need a professional to make sure that everything is done properly (and, hopefully, ending up in my favor).

So, how do you do your taxes? Do you use computer software and do it yourself? Do you go to a national business and have them prepare your taxes? Or do you have a private accountant do your taxes? Tell us in the comments!
