Here’s why there are several police cars at Howell High School today
The reason there are patrol and police cars from various agencies is for an educational awareness program NOT for anything to be alarmed about.
Howell Police say Mrs Donna Setaro is presenting her Move-Over-Awareness Campaign to students at the high school.
She is the mother of New Jersey State Trooper Marc Castellano who was struck and killed on I-195 in Howell on June 6, 2010 while searching for a suspect.
Castellano is a Howell native.
Even though you're not there today, Police ask you to help educate yourself and other about the Move-Over-Law so there are no more tragedies.
They remind you it's the law to move over one lane for any stopped emergency vehicle which includes tow services.
If you can't move over, you must slow down to a safer speed.
