Police in Eatontown are hoping you can help them find the driver who struck a pair of dogs and then drove off.

The crash took place around 12:40 am on August 28 outside a home on Tinton Avenue., borough police said in a statement.

That's when police say what appears to be a dark colored Mitsubishi Outlander struck  two pet Labrador Retriever dogs.

One of the Labradors died on the scene.

The second Labrador died from its injuries at the Red Bank Veterinary Hospital a short time later.

Following the crash, the driver took off.

Police say the vehicle "should have damage to the front passenger side near the front quarter panel."

It was last seen heading northbound on Route 35 at Tinton Avenue towards Shrewsbury and Red Bank.
