
Firefighters Rescue A New Jersey Woman Who Fell Down A Garbage Chute

Woman Rescued In Hackensack After Falling Into A Garbage Chute
According to reports, firefighters answered a call that a woman had fallen down a trash chute several stories high and needed to be rescued.
According to Patch, once the woman was located within the trash chute, "Efforts began to extricate the party by utilizing saws to remove panels from the trash chute discharge, while other crews prepared for a possible rope operation or wall breach," officials said.
Reports indicate the woman was pulled out by her feet and then was taken to a local hospital for further treament.
"All firefighters who were involved had to be decontaminated, along with their equipment, the department said. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for an arm injury."
No further details were available at this time.
