Last week, I shared the video of "Avengers" star Robert Downey, Jr walking out of an interview with a British journalist when things got a little too personal. This week, the actor is talking about what he was thinking at the time.

Yesterday, he told Howard Stern, "I just wish I'd left sooner" and described the journalist as, "...a bottom-feeding muckraker" with "...a creepy, dark agenda".

As I said in the original article, I'm firmly on Downey's side here. I think that the interviewer was totally out of line by using a press tour that was promoting "Avengers: Age of Ultron" to try to dig into the actor's personal life and troubled past.

At the very least, it was bad journalism. At worst, it was shameless opportunism.

You can check out Robert Downey, Jr's full interview by clicking here. But, of course, this is Howard Stern, so there is some strong language.
