Inside the Tent: What Law Enforcement Discovered
Law Enforcement Officers were able to prevent a possible attack on a church in our nation's Capitol this week, and the suspect is a New Jersey man.

According to reports, Police say a South Jersey man was discovered with explosives hidden inside a tent set up on the steps of a Washington, D.C., cathedral.
According to a recent Patch article, "Louis Geri, 41, of Vineland had previously been barred from the premises of Saint Matthew's Cathedral when he had set up the tent shortly before 6 a.m. on Oct. 5, the Metropolitan Police Department said. Geri was there hours before the annual Red Mass, celebrating the Supreme Court."

After further investigation Police noticed "multiple suspicious items" in the area of his tent. Among the items found were vials of liquid and possible fireworks. The department's Explosive Ordinance Team and Arson Task Force were called to the scene.

- threats to kidnap or injure a person
- possession of a Molotov cocktail
An investigation is continuing by the authorities.
