  • This Hidden New Jersey Community Has Buyers Snapping Up Homes

A new article from NJ.com, according to the latest data from Realtor.com, says one small New Jersey town is seeing homes getting bought up in just over a week, the fastest time in the Garden State.

According to the report, "Roosevelt, in Monmouth County, saw homes sell at a median of eight days in June. The median listing price for a home in the quaint borough sat at $435,000."

Roosevelt may be one of New Jersey's smallest towns, but it has a pretty incredible history. The community was built during the Great Depression as part of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal to give struggling families a fresh start with homes, jobs, and farmland.

Originally called Jersey Homesteads, the town was renamed Roosevelt in 1945 to honor the late president. Today, it's still known for its quiet, small-town feel and unique history that you won't find anywhere else in New Jersey.

If you've never been to Roosevelt, it's tucked away in western Monmouth County, just minutes from Interstate 195. Surrounded by Millstone and Upper Freehold, this small borough feels like a hidden gem, even though it's close to just about everything.

You can get to Freehold in about 15 minutes, Princeton in around 30 minutes, Trenton in 35 to 40 minutes, and most Jersey Shore beaches are about an hour away, depending on where you're headed.
