Frankly, I find the National conversation about Education reform refreshing. It's a topic we heard during the Bush Administration with his "No Child Left Behind Act" and it's continuing in Obama Administration, that has introduced a series of reforms aimed at rewarding high performing teachers and schools.

As a Nation we could be finally getting it. That poorly educated students will not be prepared to protect our nation or compete in the global market place. That's a matter of national security.

Even Realtors see poor school districts in communities as an indicator of the value of the area's real estate.

So it's nice to hear education concerns being prioritized in Republican and Democratic camps because maybe in that way, it will finally help the nation's children.
