I have always enjoyed shows when I visit the Count Basie Center For The Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey.

The Count Basie has all kinds of great shows at their theatres and usually have something for everyone in your family.

The Count Basie Center for the Arts has been a Red Bank landmark for 100 years. It opened in 1926 as the Carlton Theatre, showing movies and hosting vaudeville shows.

After being saved from demolition in the 1970s, it became the Monmouth Arts Center and was renamed the Count Basie Theatre in 1984, honoring the legendary jazz musician and Red Bank native Count Basie.

Today, it’s one of the Jersey Shore’s best-known spots for live music, comedy and the arts.
