I enjoy going to Costco and going shopping; it's where I love to go shopping, and when I'm there, I do like to take a break and enjoy one of their classic hot dog deals. It's a jumbo hot dog and a Coke for $1.50; you cannot beat that deal.

The famous Costco Wholesale Corporation $1.50 hot dog combo has been a fan favorite since 1985, and amazingly, the price still hasn’t changed. You get a big all-beef hot dog and a Coke for just a buck-fifty, which these days feels almost impossible, right? Over the years, the deal became part of the whole Costco experience, and shoppers still line up for one after loading up on giant carts of groceries and paper towels.

What Change Is Costco Making To Their Classic Hot Dog?

According to an NJ.com article, Costco is making some changes but it may not be what you are thinking. According to reports, "The hot dog combo is now expanding its drink options from the traditional 20-ounce refillable fountain soda to adding a choice of a 16.9-ounce bottle of Kirkland Signature water — all while keeping the price at $1.50."

In addition, Costco will limit combos to members only, which I always thought was the case, because how do you enter the store without being a member? "Costco cracked down on food court access by limiting it to members only."

Do you enjoy the food court at Costco? Another favorite is their ice cream sundae, which you can get several ways, and it's a great price, too.

LOOK: 20 Discontinued McDonald's Menu Items You'll Never See Again

Discontinued McDonald's items tell the story of eight decades of quiet experiments, from a pizza that took too long to cook to a lobster roll that never made financial sense. Some disappeared overnight with no explanation, others were cut to streamline operations, and a few became cultural phenomena long after they were gone.
