The Toms River Walmart Has Received The Green Light To Expand Its Route 37 Store

Earlier this summer, Shorebeat Toms River reported, "Walmart is seeking approval to expand its store on Route 37 West by nearly 48,200 square feet, including a larger grocery section and a dedicated area for online order pickup and delivery."

The Route 37 location will have much more room once the expansion is complete.

According to reports, Walmart is getting ready to make some big changes at its Route 37 store, and shoppers are going to notice the difference.

The store is expanding, with more room for groceries and improvements to make shopping a little easier.

Reports say the township Planning Board recently approved a 48,190-square-foot addition to the west side of the store. And this isn’t a small store to begin with; it already covers more than 131,000 square feet, including the garden center.

The extra space will give Walmart more room for groceries, along with a staging area for online pickup and delivery orders.

The company also says the project will freshen up the store, improve the layout, and add more signs to help customers get around.

So, the next time you’re at Walmart on Route 37, don’t be surprised if things start to look a little different!
