Sources tell WOBM News that the body is that of a 62-year-old man, found in the vicinity of the Point Pleasant depot. The Asbury Park Press reports that the victim was found with head injuries.

NJ Transit, taking the lead in the investigation, has not revealed the identity. He was identified as a "trespasser" found at 8:50 AM, and pronounced dead there at 8:59 AM.

The agency did confirm that the victim sustained head wounds, but that it hasn't been determined whether it was caused by impact with a train.

Service was halted for about two hours on the North Jersey Coast Line through Point Pleasant, Bay Head and Manasquan.

We will continue to add information as it becomes available.
