The death of a 48-year-old Stafford Township woman who's lifeless body was found in the yard of her Ocean Acres home is being ruled as accidental. Ocean County Prosecutors Office Spokesman Al Della Fave confirmed that the Medical Examiner determined Maureen Salao died of hypothermia when she locked herself out of her house and car on Canal Avenue overnight.

Investigators are still awaiting toxicology results to see if there were any contributing factors that led to the tragedy. Salao was discovered by a family member at 1:45 p.m. December 13th who notified Police. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Stafford Police.
