Cigarette shoplifter has been arrested by police in Howell
18-year old DeShaun Lewis is accused of stuffing over 100 packs of cigarettes worth about $900 at a township Wal-Mart January 12 and taking off.
Following an investigation police made the arrest at the teen's home on Wednesday following multiple tips from the public who helped identify the suspect.
Lewis is charged with 3rd degree shoplifting 2C:20-11b(1) and then released on a criminal summons.
Police say some of the proceeds were recovered at the suspect's house and will be returned to Walmart.
Police thank the public for helping with the investigation after an image was released this week on Facebook.
