If you've been with WOBM.com for a while, you may know that I'm an unashamed space nerd.

I love sitting out under a clear night sky and picking out constellations, planets, and catching the occasional meteor.

So, you can probably imagine my disappointment when I saw reports of a fireball meteor lighting up the summer night sky last night, July 24th.

I say disappointment because I missed it!

The American Meteor Society has already gotten dozens of reports of the space debris that lit up the Jersey sky just after 11 p.m. on Wednesday from LBI, Lacey Township, Jackson, and into New York, Pennsylvania, and even Connecticut.

Even better than the word of mouth, though, are the videos!

If you spotted last night's fireball meteor, you can check in with the American Meteor Society and log your report by clicking here.
