There are few things more quintessentially Jersey than going to a Bruce Springsteen show in the middle of summer. And those who made the ride up to the Meadowlands on Tuesday weren't only treated an E Street Band concert on a perfect summer evening, but it was his longest show ever in the U.S.

The Boss showed that he hasn't slowed down a bit by rocking out for 35 songs over almost four hours.

He hit all of the hometown favorites (of course he played "Jersey Girl", and gave Freehold a shout out on "Mansion on the Hill") and fit in a few covers too.

But it was the relentless show and 8 song encore that kept the crowd going for a total of 3 hours, 52 minutes, and yes, 1 second (You can check out the whole setlist here).

WOBM's Ray Taylor, along with our statewide Continuity Director, Meredith, were at the show. She told me that, "it was on my Jersey bucket list and I'd definitely go back!", while Ray said, "it's something you have to experience if you're from Jersey!"

It just goes to show not only the pride that Jersey has in our prodigal sons, but the loyalty that people like Bruce, Bon Jovi, and others have for their home state.

Here's a video that a fan shot at the show:

There are two more Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band shows at MetLife Stadium - Tonight (8/25) and next Tuesday (8/30).
