Brick Man Dies Along Route 18

A Brick Township man is dead after he suffered a heart attack on the shoulder of Route 18 in East Brunswick.

Police say 50-year-old Edward Glinka had pulled off the highway yesterday afternoon with chest pains. A volunteer firefighter was driving by when he stopped to help him.

Glinka had stopped breathing. Efforts to resuscitate him failed. He was pronounced at the scene.
