According to Fox News, "Gas station heroin’ is growing threat in New Jersey, health officials warn: ‘Dangerous and addictive’ Products containing tianeptine can cause severe opioid-like effects, putting kids and teens at risk."
What is Gas Station Heroin?
According to WBAL-TV, "TIANEPTINE IS THE SUBSTANCE WE'RE TALKING ABOUT. IT'S SOLD AS A SUPPLEMENT TO HELP WITH ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION, BUT AS ONE LOCAL FAMILY FOUND OUT, IT CAN BE VERY ADDICTIVE AND VERY DANGEROUS. IT GOES BY MANY NAMES TIANHE, PEGASUS, ZAZA, EVEN GAS STATION HEROIN. IT'S EASY TO BUY AND IN HIGH DOSES CAN BE DANGEROUS."
The products known as "appetite suppressants" contain the drug which has an opioid effect and can be very dangerous and addictive, but can be purchased at gas stations and other stores under brand names like Neptune's Fix, Zaza, and Pegasus Silver. Parents should be on the lookout for these bottles in their child's car, bedroom, bags, etc.

This type of product has been known to cause many problems like seizures and loss of consciousness and is very addictive as well. Parents in New Jersey are asked to keep an eye out for these brands Neptune's Fix, Zaza, Tianhe, and Pegasus Silver. These can be very dangerous to our children in the Garden State.
