Berkeley Township Sunday car accident remains under investigation

A Christmas Eve car crash in Berkeley Township remains under investigation this morning.

Police say two cars collided in the area of Pinewald-Keswick and Dover Road's Sunday.

An 88-year old female passenger in car one and a 71-year old female driver in car two were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

The 88-year old was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center as a precaution for a chest injury.

The 71-year old also suffered a chest injury and was taken to Community Medical Center via an ambulance.

Both of the cars warranted a tow due to the damage from the accident.
