Another Ocean County storefront has announced that they are closing. After serving the Jersey Shore for over 70 years, Hands Store, a small locally owned store that has been open since 1952, has been sold, according to The Sand Paper.

The Long Beach Blvd department store is the latest storefront to fall victim to big box stores like Walmart and online retail websites like Amazon.

The report goes on to say that the store is expected to stay open into April, and in the meantime, there are closeout deals during the "Everything Must Go" sale.

During the department store's heyday, the store was famous for its extensive merchandise inventory, which included clothing, furniture, hardware, tools, beach souvenirs, and much more.
