This Tuesday, July 30th, marks a big day in the life of "Vesper".

Vesper is a Kemp's ridley sea turtle who has been fighting health issues with the help of Sea Turtle Recovery since last fall, and is finally healthy enough to return to the sea.

On Tuesday morning, Sea Turtle Recovery and Jenkinson's Aquarium will be teaming up to release Vesper right here in Ocean County.

The release will be taking place right on the beach in Point Pleasant, and the public is being invited to be a part of it, but are being asked to stay behind the barriers that will be set up:

The release will be taking place on Tuesday morning at 7:30 on the Point Pleasant beach.

Sea Turtle Recovery is based at the Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange. You can click here for more information on Vesper's story on their official Facebook page.
