I grew up in Hightstown NJ. Just about a 15-mile drive to Great Adventure and a 40-minute drive to the beaches of the Jersey Shore, two places I spent most of my childhood summers. Long days on the beach were spent in Seaside Heights consisting of body surfing in waves what felt like 100 feet high, a packed lunch and the anticipation of dinner on the boardwalk. To this day, there is nothing like a Midway hot grilled sausage link, split in half and cradled by a soft long roll, layered with peppers and onions.

Cookies! 11 Of The Jersey Shore’s Most Heavenly Bakeries
The “cookie” was originally invented out of necessity. Using just a portion of the cake batter, bakers used to test their oven temperatures to make sure the heat was precisely right. Eventually, the lightbulb went off. Let’s sell these “little cakes” too.
The Glory Days In Jackson Are Coming To An End
You see it in every small and large town. Businesses that have been a staple in those communities are closing. Some more recently due to the pandemic putting them out of business. UPDATE! Berkeley Township MUA Drinking Water Warning
The last time I went to a local brewery I developed a stomach thing. Without naming the establishment, I think it was either dirty draft beer lines or they didn’t properly wash my pint glass. It was not fun. Bacteria wreaks havoc on the human body. Yuck!
Amazon Fresh In Holmdel Could Win The Supermarket Wars
There are some neighborhoods in America that do not have a grocery store. Can you imagine? It’s no surprise residents in those comminutes are not eating healthy. The town in which I grew up had 2 grocery stores, Food Town and Shop Right. Today, East Windsor NJ only has a Shop Right. There is also a super Walmart down the street but that doesn’t count.
FINALLY! New Plan Unveiled For The Beachwood Plaza In Bayville NJ
There are plenty of landmarks to drive past at the Jersey Shore. Unfortunately, we also have our share of blemishes. For far too long, the aging Beachwood Mall in Berkeley Township was a dump. Watching a bulldozer take it down, in 2015 was a sight for sore eyes. But it’s been 6 years since that demolition took place. The empty lot doesn’t look much better.
Intruder Alert: Not On His Watch – Jersey Shore Biz Watches Your Home
Summer is HERE! Unlike last year due to the pandemic, vacations, road trips, and visiting family are back on the calendar. I am about to enjoy some time off myself.

Every state has its own tales of urban legends. New Jersey is most famous for the legend of The Jersey Devil. That monster-like creature that lives in the Pinelands of Jersey also inspired 6 Flags Great Adventure to build a roller coaster.
Pandemic Picnics! They Exist At The Jersey Shore
The pandemic forced all of us to be creative. I think Ross said it best on Friends, “Pivot”!
