With all of the news of closings and openings recently, we have yet a third category to talk about today - a return!

In the last few years, Toms River has lost one of its most iconic Route 37 outposts for families heading to Seaside Heights - the Stewarts Root Beer location that had stood on the corner of 37 and Fischer Blvd was razed and replaced with a 7-11 convenience store.

But, for those who have been craving a root beer float in Toms River, we have good news - Stewarts is coming back to the county seat!

In a press release just out today, Stewarts has announced that they will be opening a restaurant right in the Ocean County Mall.

The new location will be part of the mall's food court, so no car hop service, but you'll still be able to get those iconic root beer floats.

The press release says that the restaurant will be open this summer, with a corporate spokesperson saying, "We are thrilled that the ever-popular Stewart’s Restaurant is coming to Ocean County Mall, just in time for the summer".

Are you excited that Stewarts is coming back to Toms River?
