A “GREEN” Must See From BCCT

Brick Children's Community Theatre's (BCCT) latest production of Shrek The Musical is just "Awesome"! You have one more weekend to see this show and it will blow you away and you will wonder how these kids do it!

Only school age kids are the performers.  When you are sitting in the theater at Brick Township High School you would never know that they were all kids singing and dancing their little hearts out.

All the kids are fantastic..but there are a couple I'd like to point out.  The boy that plays Shrek, Brian Logsdon, his voice perfect for the character of Shrek.  He has a huge bright future.  I was so impressed by him.  All 3 girls that played Fiona.  Younger Fiona..adorable.  Teen Fiona...your voice was just wonderful and Older Fiona..I loved the song duet with Shrek "I Got You Beat", If you were just watching them sing that song you would never think they were teenagers.  What beautiful voices!

Along with the Shrek ears they have for you to buy as you walk into the theater and the soft pretzels with green salt, it was just the perfect night out for me and my daughter.  Her favorite character was Donkey.  Donkey was very funny and had the movements of the Shrek we were used to in the movie.  Great job Evan Gedrich (Donkey) for keeping a 7 year old girl glued to the stage and giggling while she was singing along.

I just wish I could write every performer's name in this blog...you all deserve it!

To all the parents who help put this production together, YOU ROCK.  I know that it's a community event and it's just great the way everyone comes together and helps out!
