If you thought that you felt like things were moving last night, no you're not crazy, there was an earthquake off the East Coast that was felt here in Ocean County.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a 4.6 magnitude shaker hit about 135 miles off the Maryland coast just after 6:30 last night, and was felt as far away as Massachusetts.

The USGS map for the event includes people reporting that they felt it in Brick, Toms River, Bayville, Manahawkin, and dozens of other locations throughout New Jersey.

The blue and white boxes show where people reported feeling the earthquake. The yellow star is where the quake was located:

Did you feel last night's earthquake?

If so, the USGS wants to hear from you.

Of course, this isn't the first time that an earthquake was felt in Ocean County. You might remember just over a year ago, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake was felt throughout a wide area of the Northeast, including here at the Jersey Shore
