A $10,000 Mega Millions Ticket Was Sold In Brick
Check your lottery tickets!
There were a bunch of winning tickets sold for this past Friday's Mega Millions drawing, including a $10,000 whopper sold in Brick!
Ok, so it might not have been worth the near historic $654 million that the jackpot has grown to, but according to the NJ Lottery, 81 tickets were sold in the Garden State that are worth anywhere from $500 to $10,000.
New Jersey Lottery acting executive director James Carey said that 79 tickets were sold that matched 4 of the 5 white balls drawn, and are worth $500 (actually, 4 of those players checked off the "Megaplier" option and tripled their ticket values to $1,500).
But the big news focuses on the pair of tickets that matched the 4 balls plus the "Mega Ball", bringing the prize up to a cool $10k.
One was sold at a 7-Eleven in Union County, but the other was sold right here in Ocean County, at the 7-Eleven on Burnt Tavern Road in Brick.
So, check those tickets! Even if you didn't get your ticket from the 7-Eleven, you could still be holding on to one of the 79 other winners.
The winning numbers were:
04, 24, 46, 61 and 70 & Mega Ball 07
The next Mega Millions drawing by the way, is tomorrow (Tuesday, October 16th), and as I mentioned before, the jackpot has ballooned to the second highest ever for Mega Millions - $654 million!
