The amount of positive coronavirus cases across the board is trending downward but at a gradual rate. Ocean County reported 223 cases from Friday thru Monday including 49 on Monday. They have had 8,367 cases overall. Lakewood has the most for a single town with 2,263. Monmouth County reported 225 cases over the weekend including 25 on Monday. They have had 7,884 overall cases. Middletown has for most for a single town with 668.
Governor Murphy hinted, albeit cryptically again, at another possible sign we're heading towards phase 2 and 3 of the state reopening. Speaking on CNN's "State of the Nation" Sunday Murphy said that he expects day care centers and camps to reopen “sooner than later".
State Senate President Steve Sweeney is urging Governor Murphy to consider allowing "unconventional" graduation plans as New Jersey continues to ease restrictions meant to slow the spread of novel coronavirus.
