The 10 BEST Things To Do In NJ In 2025

I have lived in New Jersey all my life and I love being here at the Jersey Shore. We get a lot of grief from the "Late Night Comedy Hacks" who always have a Jersey one-liner when they lack material, but this state has so much to offer and of course the best beaches in America!

What I love about New Jersey is that we have a little bit of everything for people to enjoy. We have beaches, Pine Barrens, farms, parks, cities, restaurants, history, etc. You name it we have it here in the Garden State.

Only In Your State recently published an article all about great adventures to take in New Jersey in the new year 2025. They listed a bunch but I decided to select 10 from their list that I'd have top my list of fun things to do in Jersey in 2025.

  1. How about some history here in the Garden State? "Who hasn't heard of Thomas Edison? The town near me is named after him, but I still haven't made my way to the Thomas Edison National Historical Park in West Orange. This fascinating museum not only covers his life but serves as a huge museum with his inventions on display."
  2. We have some fantastic places (parks) to go for a nice winter hike. Check out my page "Hiking New Jersey" for some reviews and ideas on where to hike.
  3. I want to get to a Red Bulls soccer game at Red Bull Arena in Harrison New Jersey.
  4. Love the garden? How about a visit to the Reeves-Reed Arboretum's Daffodil Days in Summit? This event takes place on Sunday, April 13th.
  5. I have never seen Billy Joel LIVE in concert! So maybe go to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. Billy Joel along with Stevie Nicks will be in concert on Friday, August 8th.
  6. I have not had a chance yet to visit the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford. It looks like a neat experience.
  7. The Stone Pony celebrated 50 years in 2024 and if you haven't gone to see a show at this iconic landmark, make plans to check it out.
  8. Maybe check out one of the most remote seafood houses in New Jersey.  The Red Eyed Crab, is an old-school seafood house offering hefty portions of fish and crab in a nautical-themed environment. It's a throwback in the best way.
  9. You have heard of Lucy the Elephant, but have you ever gone and toured this iconic roadside attraction in Margate? This year go visit Lucy.
  10. If you love old-school arcade games then plan a trip this year to Yestercades and try out their vintage arcade games. Yestercades has locations in Metuchen, Red Bank, Somerville, and Westfield. "Is catnip for 90s kids".

Enjoy some of these ideas in 2025 and have fun in  New Jersey.
