Social media was abuzz yesterday with videos and photos of goofball Hollywood star Will Ferrell drilling a New Orleans Pelicans cheerleader in the face with a basketball and then being carried out by security. So what's the deal?

Thankfully, it's not a case of funny man gone bad, it was just a scene for an upcoming flick. The former SNL star plays a down on his luck guy who gets to attempt a half court shot at an NBA game. Instead of swishing a 3-pointer though, he drills a cheerleader in the face. Check out this video from a fan in attendance:

The movie, Daddy's Home, is expected to film some more in New Orleans and doesn't have a specific release date yet.
