...at least here in Ocean County!  Will we have a white Christmas?

Climate.gov has released the approximate snowfall’s first date across the country, and New Jersey's snow fall should've already happened!  This map shows we got our first snow fall, but I didn't see any..did you?

Now, it isn’t necessarily the exact or average date of the first snowfall, but rather an estimate as to when there will be a 50% chance of at least 0.1″ of snow on the ground. Basically, there’s probably going to be snow coming in the very near future.

In New Jersey the map predicts the months of December and January is when we should have snow.  And New Jersey has such a weird weather system, it predicts we will have our first snow fall by the end of November???  Guess we missed that...maybe we'll miss all SNOW this winter!  Sorry snow lovers!  I'm just dreaming and hoping!  The dark purple and black dots are random and barely seen in the map, but check it out!

Based off of each state’s snowfall patterns from 1981-2010, these findings were put together at the National Centers for Environmental Information.

When do you think our first snowfall will be?  Do you want a white Christmas?
