Toms River Bank Fraud Probe Stretches into New York
A Toms River woman finds her bank account dwindling and police believe the withdrawals were done hundreds of miles away, in Poughkeepsie, New York.
The TD Bank depositor discovered the transactions on August 3, police said. Detective Roger Hull traced the withdrawals to a branch of the bank in the upstate city on May 21.
Police have not ruled out the possibility that the suspect might be a shore dweller who conducted the transactions while upstate for separate reasons.
If you recognized the woman in the photos, you're urged to contact Hull through the Toms River Police Facebook page or at 732-349-0150, extension 1291.
