The signs of Spring are everywhere in Ocean County - from buds on trees to warmer weather, and possibly my favorite - baseball season! The Lakewood Blueclaws kicked off their 2015 campaign last week, and this past weekend a toddler wowed the FirstEnergy Park crowd with the National Anthem. Watch:
Two weeks ago we talked about the early signs of Spring. What a difference two weeks makes! From tiny little buds that you had to look really hard for, to trees getting ready to pop, flowers poking up, and foliage starting to fluff, we want to see what Spring looks like by you!
I don't have to tell you that we had a rough winter here in Ocean County. But as our thermometers flirt with 70 degrees today, all the signs of spring are coming together on this one day.
I love spring. I love falling asleep to the sounds of spring, especially the "spring peepers". And I love where I live, I'm right next to a beautiful wooded area. But last night I was woken up to the sound of something that was most definitely not a spring peeper.
Easter is right around the corner, and you know what that means - candy, candy everywhere. Of course, the candy is meant for the kids, but let's be honest, the decision making process on what candy to get lies mostly with the adults.
As I write this, there's exactly three and a half hours of winter left. But the season is certainly going out with a bang here, with accumulating snow falling as I type.
