When people think of sharks in the waters off the coast of New Jersey, generally they think of nurse sharks, mako sharks, sand sharks and others. But, the state is actually a breeding ground for great white sharks.
Last week, people were passing around "warnings" of shark sightings at NJ beaches around social media like a beach ball at a concert. As we now know, it was just a hoax. In light of that lesson, it's not surprising if people were skeptical when another NJ shark story popped up this week. It turns out though, that this one is true.
